Additionally yachts were spread all over the channel and there was no ‘lane discipline’ in force. Read more...

Adams 10 Race Report - Race 11
Saturdays race was very tricky with the 10 knots max breeze on course 35 [NE].
GoGo got off to a great start and was 30-40 metres in front at 1st mark [Cannae] but a spinnaker halyard problem allowed the fleet to catch up.

Sydney Optimist Racing Series Results
On December 4 & 5, six MHYC sailors travelled up to RPAYC to compete in the Sydney Optimist Racing Series. This is the precursor to the Nationals which will be held at RPAYC between the 9th and 16th of January. The weekend was greeted with light winds and drizzle on the Saturday. It was great practice for our sailors since they hadn’t raced in light air in about three months, which you can imagine was a tad frustrating at times. The kids did great and pushed through the pain of being crunched in their boats. While being a practice event and allowing us to collect more information on trends in the weather conditions, it was also day four of the travellers trophy which is a series that awards kids with the best result in various events held in and around the state. Middle Harbour’s James Griffin finished 2nd in the series! Congrats to James and the rest of the team for sailing an amazing event.
