Spring Series Report - Race 4
Another fine spring morning dawned on us. BOM and Seabreeze had differing views on what the wind was going to do. BOM had a breeze of between 10 and 20 knots. Seabreeze had the wind from West to East around the top but not much more than 6 to 7 knots. So it was going to be an interesting day.

Gillawa Shield Bird Island Race Report

On the lead up to the 2nd Gillawa Shield race to Bird Island, the weather looked good, 10-12 knot NNE on the Friday night going around to the NW and then West. The wind was supposed to die at lunch time on the Saturday, but we all thought we would be in by then. Read more...

Gibraltar Strait Crossing - Jack Stening reporting
We did it ! and in the process more than $14,000 has been raised, so far, to assist in Melanoma research.
All our swimmers swam well, the training paid off, the crossing was achieved in very choppy water, it was hard work but never in doubt, there were no incidents or problems, it was a 'swiss watch' operation. Our greatest concerns were that we might not get a day to swim or that the conditions could have been too severe for us to complete.
This is a good way to bond a team, some may think there are other ways.
