Welcome to Middle Harbour Yacht Club E-News. Last night, John Maclurcan, was our guest speaker at the Club's monthly sailing clinic, talking on Performance Based Handicaps. Although the clinic only drew a small group, it was an extremely interesting insight into how handiocaps are set and well received by those who attended. The Club also trialled a new format with a reduced price and special food options for these clinics. If you have any suggestions of topics for our monthly clinics, please contact the MHYC office.
Spring Series Report - Race 3
On the start line of the 3rd race of the Spring Series, Phil Yeomans (PRO) and Steve Tucker were in a quandary standing on the front deck rubbing their chins. The wind was still SW and supposed to go into the SE, the wind was fluky, gusting sometimes to 10knts. So they delayed the start for ½ hour wanting to set us the best course. Read more....

Learn to Sail Holiday Camp
Learn to sail in the clubs Poly optimist dinghy’s at MHYC this summer.
Learn to Sail Holiday Camp - Monday 27th September - Thursday 30th September, 2010, 9am -3.30pm.
Using qualified YA instructors and following the Tackers Program, the kids will have fun while learning how to sail.
Before and after care arrangements are available for an extra fee.
